Shox, I knew it, even the CMMA (Catholic Mass Media Network) is in favor of ABS-CBN, if i know, malaking pera ang katapat ng kapamilya diyan, tutal malaki naman ang kanilang network eh, kaya mabuti na yan na hindi na sila umattend ng Awards Night. Star Awards comes has something to do with Star Cinema right/ And Star Cinema is ABS-CBN's naman, anong channel ba ipapalabas ang Awards na yan? RPN9?

Nagpasabi na ang GMA 7 people na hindi sila dadalo sa awards night ng PMPC pero hindi nila pinagbawalan ang kanilang mga contract star na huwag puntahan ang Star Awards for TV.

Mulawin Rocks!!! This is the only Filipino teleserye that I'm glued in ever since birth! I pride myself of not watching local soaps coz it's so cheap (super jologs) and it's the same storyline scenario, same "palabok". Now I'm proud to say I'm watching Mulawin, truly a unique Pinoy teleserye, and I don't feel Jologs watching it!! Truly hope you can sell VCDS or DVDs for the Mulawin episodes later. Truly wish that Mulawin will not end on Jan 2005!!

Hope to see Gabriel and Aviona ending up together. Paloma and Terong, mas bagay sila! ...naku nang-intriga pa! :)

I just want you to know that I think Mulawin is great! I commend the cast and crew most especially the writers who created this teleserye for being No. 1! To be honest, I never watched any Tagalog teleserye because for me then, it was very cheap (or jologs), and now I'm hooked! This is the only Filipino teleserye that I always tuned in in my entire life! Mulawin is something that we Filipinos should be proud of, it has a very unique concept, and hopefully in the future you can sell this teleserye abroad. Tayo naman ang mag-iimport sa ibang bansa, instead of us importing Chinovelas.

By the way, I would like to commend the editors who chopped of the scenes, ang galing! If there is an Emmy award here, I'll vote Mulawin for best editing!

I agree with the previous comment on improving the Mulawin's fight scenes and the special effects. If you need to import a foreign martial arts expert or invest on a new special effects gadgetry, please do so. This is the only way that the other station will not be able to match the ratings Mulawin is projecting. Kahit ilang libong Kristal pa ang lulunin, di na nila maabot ang lipad ng Mulawin!

Hopefully, you'll be able to sell VCDs or DVDs of the first Mulawin season just like Hollywood did with ER's first season para we fans will relive our favorite soap early episodes all over again!

Hoping that she would really become a ravena so Alwina can fight her off. I think I foresee a twist. Aviona now becomes an ally (just hoping that she would finally let go of Aguiluz) because Savanah, as a Ravena is the renewed villain.

Just looking forward to a tragic role of Aviona though. Not necessarily die, but just to emphasize that there's still something good in her despite her blind and selfish desires for Aguiluz.

I so want that too. A Mulawin movie!!!!!!! I'll be the first one to get a copy!!!!! But before they make that an entry to the Cannes, or export that or whatever, they REALLY have to improve the fighting scenes and sfx because it'll be a major embarassment how we make them. The story, the concept, the acting, and all the twists will soar, sure they are going to love them too - but the fighting scenes and effects? I doubt. The effects and the fighting scenes are going to be a major laughingstock in the int'l market if our kapuso won't seek to improve them. Effects, just make them appear realistic. If you will notice, our beloved Mulawin characters do not synchronize their flying with the shoulder movement - thus making it appear fake. Atleast with their landing, I see improvements. And I think there's something wrong about the lighting. When they fly, their bodies are alot brighter compared to the actual backdrop's lighting.

With the fighting scenes (even if most of it are imitations from american movies I know), I don't have a problem with Aguiluz. In fact I soooo love and adore him whenever he fights off the Ravenas. I get that kilig feeling whenever I see him fight. With Bagwis and Rasmus or with the others, I don't have a problem too. For me they're ok. But Alwina? For some scenes she's ok, but there is something that REALLY BOTHERS ME. What's with the arms semi-crossed forward after she lands and fights? Where did that come from? Calling out our beloved kapuso directors....can we remove that instead?

If Mulawin will only cater to the local market, no need to change the fighting scenes. Just improve on the effects. But if we're to export it to other countries, we might as well adopt a different fighting technique that won't let our foreign audience say, "Hey. I saw that in The Matrix." And, we might as well impress them with our own brand of effects.

But still.........I'm a MULAWIN fan forever!!!!!!!!!!!

Aviona did very well in convincing us her role as the kontrabida in the love triangle, that this role DOES irritate me big time, but I don't want her out. I look forward to a nice twist that will divert her attention to someone else.

I'd just like to comment on some things last night.

Aguiluz (no offense to his fans), I think you were just looking for an excuse to get at Aviona and break up with her. Hope you're happy now. :))

I liked thw way Vultra handled herself last night. I thought she'd confront Rasmus on the spot, but that would end the story for them too quickly. LOL But more seriously, Vultra has always been cool and calculating. I'm really interested in what she will do now. What role will she and Rasmus play in the invasion of the human territories nearby? When and how will she make Rasmus pay for his crimes? How will she find out the truth about her child?

And since it appears that Vultra has no reservations about punishing Rasmus, it follows that none of the 18-20 years they spent together mean much to her now. Makes me wonder if Rasmus had been nothing but a perennial source of annoyance for her like we've seen from the start.

What will Ravenum say now? He must suspect that Vultra went in search of the truth and may know some things now. She cannot be trusted.

Here's what happened in summary:

Dakila sent his maya bird to seek help. He's still alive but time is running out. Lourdes found refuge in the same church in Tierra Fuego where she and Alwina had gone before.

Savannah learned many things from Balasik. Balasik told her that Gabriel and Terong were by the river (he didn't get to tell her that a Mulawin was with them). He also told her, since she asked, that Violetta was the queen of the Ravena, Vultra. Balasik said that Ravenas can become human by taking the red binhi, and humans in turn, can become Ravenas. Of all creatuers, humans and Ravenas are most alike. Finally, Savannah learned that the Ravenas will invade Tierra Fuego very soon.

Vultra returned to Halconia. Rasmus was overjoyed and asked where she'd been. Vultra answered him coolly and with reserve. To her surprise, a proud Habagat welcomed her too and told her he was no the commander-in-chief of the Ravena army. Rasmus is now more determined than ever to get rid of Habagat to impress his queen. When alone, Vultra told herself that she will make Rasmus pay for everything he had taken away from her.

Savannah tipped off Don Lucio. Lucio sent his men to find Gabriel. They fought, and Gabriel was shot on his side. Paloma carried him and Terong off to safety. But Gabriel's condition is critical.

Aguiluz overheard Bianca and Aviona talking about Aviona's "crime." He then confronted her and told her he could forgive many things, but not her lie. He'd been grieving over Alwina and she knew it. Bu she didn't tell him Alwina was alive, anyway. Aguiluz left Aviona alone in tears.

The episode concluded with Habagat leading the Ravena army in their invasion of Tierra Fuego. (More soldiers, like I hoped, maybe 12 or 20!)

I agree. This is sort of delayed and pointless now. Even if Aguiluz does find out about it, he'll understand why Aviona hid the truth from him. It shouldn't be a big deal now. But what Bianca wants is to show Aguiluz how mean Aviona can really get.

Spilt milk..sana na-secure ng GMA yung rights to the story.

Ang suggestion ko lang po, make Mulawin better than it ever was. I've been watching the series, and there's a reason why it's number one.

Mulawin has the potential to become what "Kung Mawawala Ka" aspired to be.

I'm not a big fan of special effects, and that's not why I watch Mulawin. It's the twists and turns of the story that made me want to watch more.

GMA could also pick up story tips from folk legends.

But more than that, I think GMA could try putting Angel and Richard through more acting workshops. Not that they aren't alerady working hard for it, but they should constantly improve their craft.

Richard in particular could go with more refinement in the way he displays different emotions since he plays one of the central characters in the show.

Para naman kaya nilang makipag-sabayan sa ibang veteran actors sa show.

Lately I've also noticed that there are like four love triangles in the series. Way too much for any single soap to stomach, especially for a show that presents itself as an epic.

And while love does often make the world go round, it's not the only thing that Mulawin should focus on.

True, masa audiences love love, but please consider the other halves of the viewership pie.

The comedy and action aspects I think are slowly being neglected. Mulawin's fight scenes can't be expected to be at par with hollywood, but GMA can aspire to be pretty damn close.

In light of this, GMA might want to look to HK for fight-scene techniques and technology. This could include hiring an additional fight instructor, yung tipong sanay magtrabaho sa "wuxia" (ancient chinese martial arts movie). That's where hollywood gets it's action chops right?

[try looking into the people hired by Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of Flying Daggers)-sure it's a lot of investment, but if GMA is willing to pay Richard Guttierez 390 grand, well...]

Malapit lang naman ang HK e. So that Richard and Angel's fight kicks don't look too random. (remember, warriors sila...)

Sa comedy aspect, it's nice that they added Eagle to the cast, but I think they need to put a good solid character especially created to provide the comic relief.

A lot of people loved the character of Dugong in Marina because although she was the first villain, she was also very laughable.

Either that or integrate some situational comedy into the script.

I can't think of any other suggestions at the moment, but I'll try to add more once I manage to secure a new means of employment. Ja!!

PS: may plans ba to make available yung mga back episodes? I don't mean commercially, pero baka naman may store sa loob ng network mismo na nag-bebenta ng mga copies ng old shows nila. I personally would very much like to have copies of "OK Ka Fairy Ko".

the first time i heard that song, i was mesmerized. and frankly speaking it's one of the many reasons why i watched mulawin. the musical score of the series is great and to matched that is the captivating view of tierra fuego. everytime i heard it on the radio, i always visualized alwina and aguluz together.

it is the first time that i've been this addicted to a local show. mulawin spur my imagination to the highest level, the concept is new and the actors and actresses suited their roles perfectly, except paloma(sorry to the fans of tanya). richard and angel look very good on screen, their loveteam is new that will surely captivating to look forward to.

I just can't figure out what's the point there, I mean, it happened BEFORE Aviona said sorry to Aguiluz and Alwina, right? Didn't Aviona said that she's sorry for ALL she have done to hurt them.

I'm just curious of the impact of that information.

Poor Aviona, no matter what she do, there will always have doubts. All because she loved the wrong guy.

I like the way Dakila's face turned purple. And the fight scene, it was a great improvement from the previous ones. And I thought previously he was the worst at flying and fighting. The effects and tricks seem to be improving already. But they should still get someone who covers sports events like the ones at ABC 5 /PBA to improve the camera handling.

There are several comments I want to make on last night's episode, and in response to your comments too:


pinay_chemist and leighla,

I agree that Habagat's costume doesn't suit him as well as Vultra's and Rasmus's suit them. It seems to me that costume-designers got a bit sloppy when it came to later additions to the cast, such as Paloma and the new Habagat., though they did a great job with the fairies, especially Nancy's character (the one who's like Tinkerbell) I think the problem with Romnick Sarmenta's costume is the bulk of ink-black feathers around his head, and also the fact that he has a smaller, smoother face than Gary Estrada's. The headgear they put on him makes his head look really small and overwhelmed by the makeup and "fur." :) Gary's face is square and angular, very strong, and the colorful red and yellow feathers augment these features and make him look really fierce.

But that is not to take anything away from Romnick or the crew of Mulawin. As you and bluedove say, Habagat can now more fully play the part of the villain. This brings me to the question:

WHAT WILL RASMUS DO NOW?

A wild guess is that he might betray Habagat in turn to the Mulawin. But that is far-fetched and Rasmus knows he'll gain nothing from it. Besides, his rival in love, Bagwis, will be there. What I'm really curious about now is what will happen between Rasmus and Vultra now. Will Vultra go back to Halconia to settle the score with Rasmus? Or will she search for the Balasik bird? The only thing she is interested in now is finding her child.

There was a revelation last night too. Ravenum chided Rasmus for wasting his time on such "unimportant" things as love. But Rasmus replied that it was that love that led him to bring back his father from the grave. Did I hear that right or did I misunderstand it? Is Ravenum his father then? If so, then Ravenum should have returned the favor to his son and helped him find Vultra.

I'd really like to know how this will turn out for Rasmus. He may be evil, but he stands by what he does and what he is, unlike Habagat who (figuratively and literally) changes his colors to his advantage. Rasmus may be slow and stupid sometimes compared to his queen, but I still think he is one of the best-conceived characters in the cast.

Personally, I think it's getting boring in the new Hayuhay. There's not much action apart from the catfighting and clawing. I wish something would happen soon.

Well, Paloma said an earthquake is coming into Gabriel's life. Meeting Alwina? Trouble from Tierra Fuego?
