i realized that her name was estrella a little later when i was reviewing the show while i was taking the snapshots, unlike when i was doing the condensed summary, that were took while the show was being aired.

and yes, it is maningning. this one is clearer and had been said plenty of times.

i think maningning was from lagaslaw. from her words, "masaya pa ang lagaslaw noon."

in fact, even the marovingian (the matrix series) has indicated that there is not much difference between a person who is in love and who is insane.

for surely, a person who is in love becomes irrational and is willing to give/share love in spite of the fact that that love could never be returned.

and for sure, aviona's love is unconditional and that makes her a better person.

linang monitors mulagat as mulagat tells the ravena soldiers that they still need to practice using their arms instead of attacking their enemies.

kuskos dies and uses her 6th life.

aviona steals the map that aguiluz has while he is asleep as vultra congratulates her for her feat.

aguiluz realizes that the map has been opened.

aviona rejects the idea of killing aguiluz as suggested by vultra.

but just as a matter of precaution to everyone, yoyong, as of this writing, is already very near the visayas area. may even be about central visayas by tomorrow (or tonight) depending on how fast it travels. metro manila should brace itself as there is a possibility that this huge typhoon will by passing by.

hoping that everyone would be safe.

on the other hand, south rock, i will try to keep myself up to date with the happenings on the screen. and hoping you won't get any power failures because i know you write better than me and you're the only person who could do what you do.

i havent watched LOTR 3, but may similarities nga sa LOTR ang Mulawin lately, you're right about fellowship of the ring and nung humiwalay si frodo and sumama si sam sa kanya.

lately nabobore ako sa phase ng mulawin kasi parang ang tagal ng revelation about kay gabriel, and medyo prang LOTR

iba na ang nagplaplay sa role ni kuskos, mas prefer ko yung dating gumanap, mas feline ang acting.

Hey, people, let's say some prayers for our kababayan in Central Luzon. We have just seen the devastating effects of illegal logging and quarrying there. Winnie would not have done so much damage if not for the deforestation. Man, not Nature, is to blame. Let's hope and pray Yoyong goes elsewhere or even returns to the ocean whence he came.

Hopefully, Mulawin will help make people more environmentally aware. Already, wildlife rescues have increased because of the show. :)

You mentioned it was cool seeing Aviona breathing out clouds of insects and flames as well. I think, since you missed earlier episodes, you don't know that those are some of Vultra's powers. By blowing into Aviona's ears, it seems she imparted those abilities to her. Vultra can also blow ice and smoke, and hynotize humans and make them see illusions (she has the very enviable power to make a 20 peso bill look like a 500). Hehehehe...

I'm sick and tired of seing Aviona loving, caring 4 Aguiluz with no love return in sight...HELLO!!! Eh mastisay naman ang Princess Aviona namin hah kaysa kay Tsinitang Alwina. In real life this is what we call Stupidity to the Highest Level, kapag ayaw na sayo ng isang tao o ibon man for that matter huwag mo na ipilit ang sarili mo at magmumukha ka lang na isang tanga at sira-ulo (INSANE) (Bianca King PLEASE READ THIS!!!), yun bang tawag eh mayroong "Fatal Attraction. Huwag ka nang magpauto sa mga writers na walang mabuting maisip kundi kabaliwan at wala ng sense.

If I were you BK, I'd suggest the writers of the story to build a new character just for you to love alone (Marami na yata kaming Fans mo ala People Power na ang laki namin). Kaya naisip ko na gawan ng isang ALTER EGO ang character ni Aguiluz, dito papasok yung kakambal or TWINs nya in real life, si ____??? (nakalimutan ko kasi pangalan nya). Kayang kaya ito isingit ngayon sa story just in time para masagip ka from the evils of the Ravenas...oh di ba ASTIG ang dating.

Syanga pala, tama yon na you all need more weapons, more power & speed, include agimats kung pwede, spells, more alliances para matalo nyo na ang pinaka-pinuno nang kadilaman, na dapat dumarami din at lumalakas para mas challenging as the story goes on...

how about if aguiluz's flute affects aviona (with the dark force)? (though this would make the story a bit boring because there won't be any fight scenes and aviona can be easily be "cornered")

how about if alwina's shawl becomes one where it can make people tell the truth when they have it on them, ala wonder woman?

and the umbrella? i think it already can create strong winds. maybe the sling shot can become more enchanted in its ways that it makes pagaspas a better hitter?

there is still one more "big hit/big budget" movie that the writers can take ideas from: the matrix series...i wonder how and where the story from that series can be integrated to mulawin.

maybe someone could tell alwina that it is different to know that she is the sugo and the savior of humankind, and by being one (by overcoming her fears)...maybe along the way, she would face some challenges where she will learn how to believe in her abilities and herself...maybe aguiluz could be captured and she would do everything so in order to rescue him.

You're right, Asrai. It's not a good sign. But like I commented on your blog: This part of the story is being written on-the-fly. That must be one of the reasons why they copy so much from LOTR and others. You know, they should have made 2 versions from the onset: one for 1 season, and another for 2 or more seasons. Then, they would have ready.

gus and wis had a very good scene tonight, along with a touch of humor, humility, and humanity.

it also occured to me that alwina is supposed to bring balance to the world, and to aguiluz's words, "...ikaw ang babalik ng balanse ng mundo."

this simply reminds me of anakin skywalker's mission, to bring balance to the force.

along this line, the scene of alwina ang aguiluz is reminiscent of the scene in lord of the rings where frodo and sam where talking of how frodo was very brave and how sam has always been there for his friend. (i hope no one missed this scene in mulawin so you would know what i am talking about.)

on the other hand, it's also nice to see aviona blow some wild insects from her mouth (is this right?), the way the main character in green mile did. hehehe.

the writers have a very nice way of putting all major movies together, and weaving one beautiful tale from them all; just like how a cloth weaver would weave one beautiful piece of cloth from different colored threads.

savannah and her real mother meet. her mother, angry and bitter on what her daughter has done to her, tried to ask her daughter why she has forsaken her. on the other hand savannah tried to explain her side, and even went to the point of saying that she will ask vultra to let her mother free. as a mother, her heart melted...and both were on their way to hugging each other until...

...a ravena soldier passed by, where savannah, again disowned her mother as her real mother.

is savannah really trying to help her mother by pretending to be vultra's daughter, or is she just a plain social climber, ready to step on those who once cared for her, including her mother?

you're right, the series timeline is very confusing, kahit na mganda ang story, i guess this is the flaw of the serye, i hope in the next episodes they could clear the timeline of the series, though i know this is a telefantasya and Mulawin are "magical" beings, they really should clear it up.

i have another theory about gabriel, maybe he isnt a ravena, i recall hidalgo said that it whats in gabriel's blood that makes him uneasy, probably because gabriel came from the Montenegros, the clan who started cutting off the trees, remember the scene where lucio's father told him that tierra fuego will be theirs?

maraming mga taga tierra fuego ang ayaw sa Montenegro dahil sa kasakiman nila at pagkamkam nila ng mga lupain, maybe that's the reason.

probably ravenum will possess gabriel's body, para siya na ang makikipaglaban kay alwina.

and i think habagat will change.

As for twins.:) Well, there were twins not just in Star Wars, but in Amazing Twins and Eternity: A Chinese Ghost Story. So what if the idea has been used before? If Gabriel is really Alwina's counterpart, it seems fitting for them to be related by blood.

But although that is a good idea, I don't think it's possible. The Balasik's words were quite plain: "Bago ka pan maging Vultra, ikaw ay nagsilang ng ISANG sanggol."

I could mention another possible way for Gabriel and Alwina to be siblings, but I won't. Baka nga binabasa nung mga writers itong blog eh. Hehehehehe.
