Remember that the
Balasik and the
berdeng binhi serve as glue to the story (my mantra). So Balasik has to go: Lourdes may just have wanted the bird to be away from Savana; the writers want the truth-talker to be where it outght to be next. The last green bean -- given by Rasmus to Lourdes (instead of Veronica's freedom), stolen by Kuwak and Tuka from Lourdes'
baul, fell and rolled into the lake, found by Terong in the river, and now held by Gabriel (the stone-statue) -- was the reason why Hidalgo never left Gabriel (the enemy) until they reached the ancient doorway. It seems someone else will die, but will be revived by the
berdeng binhi or somehow, the Balasik, the
berdeng binhi and the owl children will have important roles when Alwina reaches the sacred tree.
Indeed, Pagaspas and Lawiswis knew better than Paloma, to think that a dove is smaller than, or at least as big as, an owl.
