kapamilyarulez,

thanks for the time you have spent in writing your comments. however, i hope you understand that the story of ibong adarna is public domain aside from the fact that it is a philippine myth.

this means that the use of ibong adarna may be used by anyone including the station from which you may be affiliated with.

by tapping into the story of ibong adarna and interweaving it with the story of mulawin, gma has in fact given philippine history a boost and, to my opinion, rekindled the interest of its viewers towards philippine history and mythology.

while you may opine that the use of ibong adarna may suggest un-originality, then let it be the case. using historical myths and interweaving it with stories, novels, movies, epics, and even to one's life does not make one a lesser person. prized authors and well known writers use mythology in order to twist their tales and make them more interesting.

those who watch the show do love the show and i don't think it is right, proper, and civil to bark at those who may not walk the same path that you do. differing opinions is in fact a joy that everyone has to enjoy because of democracy and freedom.

once again, thanks for your time for the post.
